Chapter 9: Decorative Mechanics
As there are ugly mechanics that we must hide, there are also some beautiful mechanics that we want to show. They add color, movement, texture, and other dimensions of design to the arrangement. Some decorative mechanics are colored aluminum wire, colored foam, chicken wire, dishes, or bowls to name a few. For example: If you are making a low centerpiece and are using a clear glass vase but do not want the stems of the flowers to be visible, adding colored foam to your glass vase to complement the color of the flowers will be a brilliant idea thus making it more appealing to the eyes.
